Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Enclo mobile and desktop application (the "App"), provided by Stremit Technology Solutions ("we," "us"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The service

Enclo is a local-first app for saving, tagging, and finding AI conversations, links, notes, and files, with optional features for sharing and syncing between your own devices (CloShare), browsing AI tools via Stremit, and connecting your own AI API key. Enclo does not require you to create an Enclo account.

2. Your responsibilities

• API keys and costs. Several features (AI chat, AI summaries, Discover) require you to connect your own Stremit API key. Any usage, billing, or rate limits for that key are between you and Stremit — Enclo is not responsible for charges incurred on third-party accounts you connect.
• Lawful use. You agree not to use the App to store, share, or transmit content that is illegal, infringes others' rights, or violates the terms of any third-party service the App connects to (Stremit, YouTube, etc.).
• Don't abuse shared infrastructure. You agree not to use CloShare's internet relay or the Discover catalog in a way that disrupts the service for other users (e.g., excessive automated requests, attempting to intercept or decrypt other users' relayed traffic).
• Your devices, your control. Features like Phone Control and Sync are designed to operate between devices you own or explicitly control. You are responsible for any device you pair with the App and for keeping your pairing codes/QR codes private.

3. Experimental features

Some features are marked as experimental and are off by default, including Phone Control (Accessibility-service based remote control of your own device) and AI auto-reply (drafts replies from incoming notifications for your review). These features:

• Require you to explicitly enable them and grant the relevant system permission.
• Are provided "as is" and may behave unexpectedly, since they depend on third-party app UI and operating-system behavior outside our control.
• Should be used at your own discretion. You're in control: AI auto-reply always places a draft for your review and never sends a message on your behalf, and Phone Control only operates between devices you have explicitly paired.

4. Intellectual property

The App, its design, and its code are owned by Stremit Technology Solutions and its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for its intended purpose. You may not reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell the App except as permitted by applicable law.

Your vault content (conversations, notes, links, files you save) remains yours. We claim no ownership over it.

5. Third-party services

The App integrates with third-party services, including Stremit (AI features, AI tool catalog, and API) and YouTube (media downloads). Your use of those services through the App is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT EXPERIMENTAL FEATURES WILL WORK AS EXPECTED ON EVERY DEVICE.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STREMIT TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING LOSS OF VAULT DATA STORED LOCALLY ON YOUR DEVICE. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING YOUR OWN BACKUPS (e.g., via the in-app export feature).

8. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue shared infrastructure (such as the relay server or Discover catalog) at any time, with or without notice, though this will not affect vault data already stored locally on your device.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective date" above.
